Abstract
During this presentation, the advanced practice nurse will be introduced to the six pillars of lifestyle medicine including the scientific evidence to support the utilization of these pillars in the prevention, treatment, and/or reversal of chronic disease. Additionally, the advanced practice nurse will learn how to incorporate lifestyle assessments and prescriptions into their current practice. This webinar is being presented by the American College of Lifestyle Medicine.
Learning Outcomes:
- Describe the six pillars of lifestyle medicine.
- Discuss the scientific evidence to support the utlilization of these pillars in the prevention, treatment, and/or reversal of chronic disease.
- Understand the process of evidence-based lifestyle assessment.
- Develop selected lifestyle prescriptions.
