Abstract
The purpose of this exploratory study with three time points will examine the physical health, mental health, stress using biomarker levels (salivary cortisol), and perceived caregiver burden of Hispanic, Black, and White parents of an infant/child (birth to 5 years) newly diagnosed with special health care needs (SHCN) over the first three months after discharge home from a NICU or PICU.
