Abstract
The first aim was to determine the feasibility of recruiting, enrolling, and retaining 20 young adults ages 18-30 with T1D to complete baseline questionnaires and neurocognitive tests, and to wear a continuous glucose monitor (CGM, existing or new) and wrist actigraph (Spectrum Plus) concurrently for 7 days/nights. The expected outcome of Aim 1 was to describe recruitment yields, retention rates, and acceptability of study procedures with a combination of missing data, and exit interview questions for acceptability of data collection measures (e.g. 80% completion rate of all data measures). The second aim was to characterize sleep by actigraphy, questionnaires, and diary self-report, and glucose by CGM among 20 young adults with T1D over 7 days/nights (to capture weekend and weekday differences). The expected outcome of Aim 2 was to provide a detailed characterization of sleep and glucose patterns in young adults with T1D.
