Abstract

A cross-sectional survey design was used to address these study aims: 1) describe the frequency, duration, and method of delivery of care and procedures by neonatal nurses that disrupt the TE of PNs; 2) explore differences in frequency, duration, and method of delivery of NICU nursing care procedures that disrupt the TE of PNs according to the nurses' personal and professional characteristics; and 3) assess the psychometric properties (frequency, duration, etc.) of the instrument used to measure the concept of disruptions to the TE of PNs.
