Abstract

Postpartum Anxiety (PPA) is a postpartum mood disorder with a prevalence of 2% to 45%. It often goes undiagnosed due to the lack of a universal psychometric tool screening the disorder. The issue of PPA has been largely overshadowed by the more researched and well-documented issue of postpartum depression (PPD). Currently, there is a lack of scientific evidence relating to best practices for screening for PPA, making it difficult for clinicians to diagnose and treat promptly.
