Abstract

Negative nursing attitudes toward substance-abusing patients have been consistently documented in the literature and have the potential to impact these patients' outcomes and their perceptions of their hospital experiences. This study examines how substance-abusing patients perceive their nursing care in order to promote higher quality care and patient outcomes.
