Abstract
Mexican Americans children and adolescents suffer disproportionately from chronic diseases. Pubertal timing and tempo, may influence the development of these diseases. Understanding biological bases, family and environmental influences for pubertal timing and tempo is essential for healthcare providers to prevent or diagnose and treat these diseases as early as possible.
