Nursing education of vulnerable populations
Abstract
Results from funded study testing a pre-licensure nursing student-focused Gerontologic Nursing Competency Skills Tool in 6 diverse schools/colleges of nursing with students and faculty are presented. Recommendations for utilization of this no-cost tool and accompanying toolkit to enhance workforce readiness for nursing care of the older adult are incorporated.
