Abstract

Older African-Americans are considered hard to recruit into health related research studies. Historical research atrocities, non-standardized recruitment protocols and concerns about high costs contribute to researchers reticence to conduct research with this population. The perspectives of older African-Americans about recruiter caring behavioral characteristics can guide future research recruitment strategies.
