Abstract

International, English-language literature reporting outcomes of regulation of pre-licensure RN education was examined, mapped, and summarized to elucidate available evidence regarding the outcomes of such regulation. Five categories of outcomes emerged. Most, but not all reported outcomes were positive and lacked objective measurement. Further research is strongly recommended.
