Abstract

Advanced practice providers report a lack of onboarding and professional support which leads to job dissatisfaction, high turnover rates, and gaps in patient care; wasting billions of healthcare dollars. This doctoral project is an examination of barriers to mentorship, characteristics of quality mentors, and proposals to increase APP mentorship.
