Abstract

This presentation focuses on: utilizing theory/theoretical frameworks in nursing research which contribute to evidence-based practice for women with breast cancer; findings on appraisal,coping,resources,health of women with breast cancer using Lazarus and Folkman's stress appraisal coping theory; and implications of stress appraisal coping theory for advancing nursing research and evidence-based practice.
