Abstract
C-sections have been linked to the development of postpartum Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). During C-sections, the caregiver has been identified as influential. This is especially true in traumatic births. This literature review identifies risk factors, screening mechanisms, and management strategies for postpartum PTSD, and discusses the importance of respectful care.
