Abstract
Many veterans are using GI Bill benefits to pursue nursing degrees. Significant differences between prior military training and higher education may impact retention and successful degree completion. Strategies nurse faculty employed to assist veterans transfer of learning and knowledge from their military service to nursing education are explored.
