Abstract
Understanding the veteran experience of knowledge transfer from a military culture to baccalaureate education may assist in recruitment, retention, and successful outcomes. Data obtained from 11 veterans are presented to prepare nurse faculty to embrace veterans' core values, team orientation, and communication skills during transition to professional nursing practice.
