Abstract

This qualitative research explored the partnerships occurring between long-term peritoneal dialysis patients and nurse educators. Four themes and ten sub-themes emerged from seven individual patient and nurse interviews. Each partnership was unique, evolved over time, and was characterized by exposure, personal rapport, and the necessity of working together.
