Abstract

A phenomenological approach was used to explore Military Veterans transitioning to civilian nursing programs. Four themes emerged, Preparation by Default, Making Sense, Drawing the Line, and No One Left Behind. Findings support Military liaisons and peer mentoring within civilian nursing programs.
