Abstract
This qualitative research was a collaborative project with faculty in the UK and the US to explore and compare the theory-practice link with beginning nursing students. A unique tool (ZMET) was utilized to guide the interviews of study participants, and interpretive hermeneutic phenomenology provided the framework for interpretation of data.
