Abstract

Catheter-Associated Urinary Tract Infections (CAUTIs) frequently occur in hospitals and are associated with increased length of stay, high costs of care, patient discomfort, and at times, mortality. Implementing evidence-based CAUTI reduction strategies hospital-wide is critical for CAUTI reduction and prevention of avoidable harm during hospitalization.
