Medical tourism: Trends, certification, opportunities

Abstract

This presentation includes opportunities for nurses, emerging services and global impacts. This study was conducted in 2017, including visits to two countries, a literature review and Certification as a Medical Tourism Professional. Leadership roles for nurses include case and risk management, specialty/wellness promotion, cultural competence, facility accreditation and Certification.
