Abstract
For new graduates preparing for the NCLEX-RN, there are myths and rumors about the examination that can cause them to question themselves and their abilities. This presentation will focus on the actual REALITY of the NCLEX-RN, discussed by Lois S. Marshall, PhD, MN, RN, an NCLEX expert for over 40 years. Dr. Marshall will present the common myths about the NCLEX-RN and what the test taker should focus on instead. Dispelling myths with facts enhances a new graduate's ability to effectively study and prepare, ultimately enhancing their success potential on the examination. The participants will have the opportunity to engage with Dr. Marshall, asking questions related to the myth versus reality questions that have been passed on to them by other students, former classmates, faculty, and from social media postings.
