Abstract

This session focuses on the preliminary result of a longitudinal descriptive study designed to determine if using the TeamSTEPPS method for teaching professional communication and teamwork enhances undergraduate nursing student interprofessional communication competency. Results suggest that TeamSTEPPS has a positive impact on students' interprofessional communication skills and attitudes towards teamwork.
