Abstract

Maternal adherence to prenatal care is problematic, persistent, and pervasive. Inadequate maternal surveillance during the prenatal period affects maternal, fetal, and delivery outcomes. This qualitative study was aimed at identifying maternal perceptions of prenatal care significance among multiparous patients. Research findings suggest practice change(s) to improve adherence with subsequent outcomes.
