Abstract

The purpose of this project was to evaluate the barriers that prevented consistent operating room first case on time starts (FCOTS). Our intervention involving accurate documentation, morning huddles and case reviews, resulted in improved rate of FCOTS by 66%. The project is ongoing, aimed at tracking sustained improvement over time.
