Abstract
A review of the metacognition and interprofessional collaboration is presented. Literature gaps include the lack of metacognitive research in the clinical setting. Interprofessional healthcare education is exploring the dynamic role of metacognition and interprofessional collaboration, a concept empirically linked to patient safety.
