Abstract
The task force conceived this publication as a means of communicating its deliberations to the wider membership of Sigma Theta Tau and the profession. It is intended less as a definitive statement on clinical scholarship and more as a work-in-progress, inviting discussion, debate, new information and new technology, and inspiring ideas that will shape the direction of nursing practice.
