Abstract
A TIVA technique with SV is safe and effective for pediatric patients undergoing DLB and other shared airway procedures. Benefits include anesthetic depth consistency, preservation of SV, and prevention of OR pollution with anesthetic gases. Implementing TIVA decreases airway reactivity including laryngospasm, bronchospasm, and coughing.Hemodynamic stability is more easily achieved with continuous IV infusions compared to IV bolus supplementation.
